Well, it’s a sad day at SEO.com. It’s official, today is Scott Cowley’s (aka @scottcowley on twitter) last day as an employee of SEO.com. He has been an employee here for two years and in the meantime has taken the marketing & social media world here in Salt Lake Valley by storm. We all enjoy reading his personal blog posts on marketing and life found on his site Scottergories.com.
Scott joined SEO.com in 2009. He graduated from BYU with a B.S. in marketing and returns occasionally to guest lecture on social media, blogging, and SEO. He has experience managing successful SEO campaigns for a variety of clients. He is very involved with Social Media Club in Salt Lake City. In addition to his personal content, he has been a great contributor on many topics on our SEO.com blog as well as for Search Engine Journal.
My favorite personal memory of Scott is when he was in a Facebook contest trying to win an IPod touch for his wife. He went to extremes posting funny pictures of himself to try and win the contest, as well as involved all of us here at work to “like” his posts and pictures, as well as share his story to try and help him win. This story can be found on his blog, called “Help Me Blow The Roof Off This Facebook Contest“.
To celebrate his two years of great employment and great friendship to many here at SEO.com, 17 of us employees went out to lunch to say goodbye and enjoy some good grub. This picture is all of us yesterday at the deli at Thanksgiving Point. Although I have not known Scott long, he has been kind and interactive. Farewell and good luck in your future endeavors. -Dan
